"The combination between formula 1 and music? Same passion, same power..!"
2004 was the year we first heard from ELA: Sony/BMG released ‘Out Of My Universe’, ELA’s debut CD with her former band Com`N`Rail. This was followed by numerous concerts, nationwide support shows in Germany – and then in 2006 the split between lead singer ELA and the formation Com`N`Rail occurred. Her solo debut album ‘Passion’ came out in June 2008. The many good reviews and positive media feedback also proved the artist right. The first single ‘Little Lies’ made it onto several radio playlists, and stayed on for several weeks.
Those who know ELA, are also aware that she is fuelled by a restlessness, and a desire for constant progress. Says ELA: „The atmosphere in a studio is different to the one on stage, where you’re being swept away by the energy of your fans. Well, I guess, I simply wanted to ROCK more”. But not only was the live segment due for a change. When ELA heard an instrumental piece by Juergen ‘JR’ Blackmore, she was absolutely smitten by the way he played the guitar. Two weeks later he had been played on the upcoming single ‘Out Of Time’. The video clip was played on many German music channels such as iMusic1 TV, Hit24, Deluxe TV and Streetclip.TV.
In early May 2009, ELA’s new baby ‘Make My Day’ is due to be released by RockUP/ZYX Music.
The recent CD convinces with first class songs such as ‘Who’, ‘I don’t Mind’ and ‘Love’. These are classic rock arrangements and stunningly rich vocals, emphasized by a modern wall of sound, that features versatile sometimes even metal-like guitar riffs. But where there is bona fide rock, a heart wrenching ballad is an absolute must: ‘When Love’s Gone’, is sung remarkably and so touchingly it hits you like a hammer and then breaks your heart. And off to the next one – with songs like ‘Rise To Fall’ and ‘One Wish’ and our motto: Are You Ready For Rock?
Over the summer away, followed by a few rock festivals with SAXON, SAGA, UFO. And the conclusion that Rock On Memorial-Festival with the SCORPIONS, where ELA as being particularly special for the 20th Anniversary of the Berlin Wall fell, the first time, a common LIVE - appearance with guest musicians JR Blackmore presented. J.R. Blackmore, who played at this time as guitarist for the band "OVER THE RAINBOW" (ex-Rainbow), invited out ELA and her band for two joint shows. In October `09, we went with" Over The Rainbow "at Karlsruhe in the 'Festhalle', the first show in their homeland, or rather, the city where she was born.
In November `09, she went back into the studio, but not for its own production, but for a special project. A Hamburg Rock Project for a legendary rock club called "Ballroom". She recorded "And The Flame Still Burn" a charity ballad including some currently trendy rock musicians such as JEFF SCOTT SOTO, JADED HEART, RAGE and Hamburger colleagues MASTERPLAN.
A title that could absolutely be not more suitable at all. The fact that even in ELA `S inner the flame is burning for rock music, she has shown us all with her magnificent male power songs and dynamic shows. We are looking forward to see ELA 2010 on stage!
